The MacBook Pro is capable of running numerous applications that can display tabs. The procedure for making a new tab can vary between different applications. In the Safari browser, for example, a new tab can be added by select New Tab from the File menu (or pressing the Command and T keys), right clicking on a link and selecting Open link in a new tab from the menu etc. Once you have separate tabs open you can click the + button at the right hand end of he tab bar to add a new tab.
