Stone Temple Pilots has had three lead singers. The original and most well-known lead singer was Scott Weiland, who was with the band from its formation in 1986 until 2002 and then again from 2008 until his death in 2015. After Weiland, the band briefly worked with Chester Bennington from Linkin Park from 1999 to 2002 and later with Jeff Gutt, who joined in 2017.
