Metronidazole also known as Flagyl is an antibiotic used to fight anaerobic bacteria and some types of parasites.

Continue taking this medication until the full prescribed amount is gone. Stopping before completing the dosage can result in a relapse of the problem it was prescribed for.

Follow your doctors advise. There should be no reason to stop taking this medication during your period however if you have concerns, call your prescribing pharmacist.
