How do you obtain a po box?

You can either sign up for one online by going to poboxes.usps.com or by filling out the application at your local Post Office, or the branch or station you want to have your box located.

If you sign up online you will be asked to pay for it with a credit card.

If you fill out an application at the Post Office you will pay for it with cash, check or credit card at the Post Office Window.

You'll need 2 forms of ID (one must be a photo ID, the latter must state your address) and fill out a rental form 1583.

Once you have filled out the application and your ID's have been verified with the information you provide on your application, your keys and box number will be assigned to you.

You will choose the PO Box location and size:

• Size 1 - XS: 3" x 5.5" (holds up to 10 - 15 letters)
• Size 2 - S: 5" x 5.5" (holds up to 10 - 15 bulky letters or 5 rolled magazines)
• Size 3 - M:5" x 11" (holds larger envelopes, magazines)
• Size 4 - L: 11" x 11" (holds 2 shoe boxes and 10 - 15 letters)
• Size 5 - XL: 12" x 22.5" (Spacious enough for flat rate boxes and packages)
