How do you tell the age of a baby dove?

To determine the age of a baby dove, observe its physical features. Hatchlings are typically featherless and have closed eyes, while nestlings, about 1-2 weeks old, start to develop down and may have slightly open eyes. By 3-4 weeks, they will have most of their feathers and begin to explore the nest. Additionally, older fledglings, around 4-6 weeks, will be fully feathered and start practicing flight.
