How do you blow up balloons on Mario kart wii balloon battle?

If you mean with the Balloon Battle on Mario Kart Wii, then just switch the teams. However, I think if you defeat one person from the opposite team you're on while playing, you get the opposite color balloon. I'm not sure though. Good luck!
