Does halo 1 work on Xbox 360?

AnswerYes, because of the continously updating backwards compatibility feature that Microsoft has offered for the Xbox 360 which allows certain types of games from the xbox to be played, but not all of them yet. The list is still updating and you have to download via xbox live/create a disk to apply the update to your xbox 360's storage device. Then you should be able to play halo 1 and halo 2 which are on the list at the moment.

FYI: You can also play Halo 2 (Xbox Version) on Xbox Live on your Xbox 360. You will have to download the Multiplayer Maps first before you get to play online. It's great to get back online with this game.
