When do hummingbirds come back to north Louisiana?

Hummingbirds typically return to North Louisiana in the spring as they migrate north from their wintering grounds in Central America and southern Mexico. Specifically, ruby-throated hummingbirds, the most common species in the eastern United States, usually start arriving in Louisiana around mid to late March. It's a good idea to have hummingbird feeders ready by then to attract them as they return.
