It's normally where you put your ISP's DNS number into, they usually have two.

It's short for Domain Name Server. It's what translates 54.218.29.138 for example into Netgears website url. So you don't have to remember the ip number for everyone on the web.

For example, OpenDNS has 208.67.222.222 as the primary and 208.67.220.220 as their second one.
