What equipment do you need to play darts?

The minimum is three darts, a dart board, and a line on the floor.

You'll also want a score board, adequate lighting, tape for the throw line/ oche. It's a nice courtesy to post a list of suggested 2- and 3-dart outs. Keep a few extra sets of flights and shafts with you. Also carry a little sandpaper to roughen your darts once in a while to help them stick. A small stone for removing burrs is not a bad idea.
