Can a 13 year old get facebook?

In my opinion no... Because Facebook can be a very risky site because of people who can get acsses to many things....

if people get hold of these information then it could put the child in risk because if they contacted by someone they don't know they may not understand what to do etc. FB has been made for 13+ that's the rules they have been put there for a resson.

They could be asked to meet somwhere by a friend (who is not really a friend) and terrible things could happen to them...

Also another point is that they may not understand what they are putting as their facebook status.

If they say they are going out on holiday somwhere then it is an ideal piece of information for buglers. There are websites that go through social network sites and scan information like this. Buglers go on this and see if there is an opertunity to rob.
