Is triple distilled whiskey better than single distilled?

They say it removes impurities in the alcohol but also the flavor. Thats why most vodka is a neutral spirit and the ones that aren't had flavor added after the fact. Also after 2 times of being distilled the liquor is coming out about as strong as it can possibly be.(the standard of moonshiners i.e.. ran through a thumper or ''doubler'' on the first and only run) It is then cut usually with something moonshiners use pure spring water to cut it back down to a decent proof 80-120. Most WHISKEY is doubled some is filtered through charcoal then aged in a barrel for about 5 years. In the end the more you distill the more flavor is lost and the higher the alcohol content is from still to jar. But it doesn't matter because it will be cut to a lower proof by the time it makes it to your hands either way!
