For cards there are several ways to tell:

1. On the bottom right of each card, there should be either a gold or silver seal.

2. The names can be fake. For example, I have a fake Five God Dragon when the real name is Five Headed Dragon.

3. The type on the effect/description is bigger than normal type.

4. Some fake cards do NOT have the "1996 Kazuki Takahashi" copyright right next to the gold/silver seal.

5. Other types of fake cards do have the seal, copyright, and the correct name of the card, but the overall card is a "sticker." These types of fake cards are usually more shiny than real shiny cards. Both types of fake cards apply to step 3.

6. The top of each star on every real card is slghtly cut shorter than the other limbs of the star. At least on every single fake card that I have, the top of each star on each of my fake cards is extended to the full length of every other limb of the star.

7. Sometimes on fake FUSION cards, like step 2, the fusion material card names might be fake. For example, I have a fake "Master of Dragon Knight, in the fusion material, it say fuse Chaos Soldier with B.E.U.D, when its really Dragon Master Knight with Black Luster Soldier with B.E.U.D (Blue Eyes Ultiamte Dragon).

These are seven ways to tell the difference between a real card and a fake card.
