How do you test cocaine purity?

Use a hot metal surface such as a cooker worktop. flameless preferably or heat a metal tray. ad a small amount to the hot plate wen it reaches 100 degrees. keep the thermometre measuring the temp. pure should melt away at 195 degrees. good stuff should be around 130

Ugh...First off, you never even mentioned that this is in Celsius, secondly, adulterants such as caffeine, ephedrine, meth, etc all have higher melting points than cocaine. MEANING... all your gonna do is melt away your cocaine and think you have nice pure drugs when it's really a bunch of adulterants that make you feel like crap with maybe 10-20% cocaine.

To clarify these two posts above (they are both half correct). IN ORDER TO TEST THE PURITY, take a small sample of powder (hopefully mostly cocaine) and begin to melt it using the methods above (hot plate, stove, anything u can monitor the temperature with). The cocaine will melt first. If the entire solution melts then you have probably pure cocaine. If only "x%" melts then the still solid granules are adulterants. You can even determine what the adulterants are by analyzing the melting points. Anything that melts before 195 C will be an adulterant as well, however this will be unlikely as cocaine has a low melting point compared to most adulterants.
