The most famous of Salvador Dali's work is probably the painting 'The Persistence of Memory', (1931). He finished a painting with a similar title, 'The Disintegration of the Persistence of Memory' in 1954. Another painting from 1954 is 'Crucifixion (Corpus Hypercubus)'. His final painting 'The Swallow's Tail' was completed in 1983. He was also active in film and sculpture. Dali donated a sketch of 'The Crucifiction' to Riker's Island Jail in New York City, and collaborated with Alfred Hitchcock on a dream sequence for the movie 'Spellbound'.
