There are many adjectives that are also nouns; some examples are:
- all Words for colors are both nouns and adjectives; blue is my favorite color; a blue car.
- the present participle of a verb (the -ing Word) is a gerund (verbal noun) and an adjective; Fishing is my hobby and I have a favorite fishing spot.
Others are:
- ancient: an ancient of Greece; the ancient city.
- chance: take a chance; a chance meeting.
- choice: you have a choice; a few choice Words.
- fool: I felt like a fool; the same fool question.
- grand: It cost me a grand; what grand scenery.
- ground: we sat on the ground; sprinkle with ground nuts.
- short: a short in the wiring; I wear a short; there was a short after the main feature; a short, short pair of shorts.
- true: the frame is out of true; that is a true story.
- quality: sincerity is a good quality; these are quality goods.
- quiet: enjoy the quiet; a quiet evening at home.
