There are many adjectives that are also nouns; some examples are:

  • all Words for colors are both nouns and adjectives; blue is my favorite color; a blue car.
  • the present participle of a verb (the -ing Word) is a gerund (verbal noun) and an adjective; Fishing is my hobby and I have a favorite fishing spot.

Others are:
