Why don't objects sink into the earth?

Objects don't sink into the Earth primarily due to the forces of gravity and buoyancy. Gravity pulls objects toward the center of the Earth, but the solid ground provides a counteracting force that supports the weight of the objects. Additionally, the density of the materials making up the Earth is much greater than that of most everyday objects, preventing them from sinking.
