To remove babies, or pups, from a sago palm (Cycas revoluta), gently grasp the base of the pup and twist or wiggle it to detach it from the main plant. Use a sharp, clean knife if necessary to cut any remaining roots. Ensure that the pup has some roots attached for successful replanting. After removing, allow the pup to dry for a few hours before planting it in well-draining soil.
