How has mankind affected American alligators?

Because they can run over short distances at 30 miles per hour, American Alligators have begun to emerge in human settlements. Many have been seen on the field of a Golf course, and even in swimming pools.

Some people in the U.S. may feed these alligators, and subsequently they might see humans as sources of food.

American Alligators' population is virtually unaffected by humans, even though they are frequently near human areas.
