Why do tigers carry there cubs in there mouths?

It's to move them from one den to another, and their mouths are the only thing they can use to carry their cubs with. Tigers, like all felines, move their young so that the chance of diseases and parasites that can affect the cubs is minimized by moving them from place to place every couple weeks or so.
