What does latifundio mean?

Latifundio is a huge part of ground which is owned by a person without use it in a useful way for example in farming in favour for the comunity. While a "latifundista" has this huge property a lot of poor people do not have any. Latifundismo ussually is banned in the coutries and in their laws it is explained how much area is considered like latifundio.
