What did a knight do in medieval times?

A knight defended the castle, his lord and people, and attacked the invaders.

They had tournaments to practice their sWordplay, although some tournaments weren't just all fun and games, some knights truly became hurt. Also, some tournaments were held to finish disagreements, as they thought God would choose the right one to win.

Most Knights meals, were eaten on trenchers, round, flat stale bread which was given to peasants or the dogs after they were used.
