What is hyaluronic acid?

Hyaluronic acid (also known as hyaluronan or hyaluronate) is an anionic, nonsulfated glycosaminoglycan. In nature it is found in connective, epithelial and neural tissues.Medically speaking it may be used in speeding up the healing of wounds. It is also used in cosmetics.
