Which surgical procedure would not be handled by an outpatient treatment center?

Major surgical procedures like heart by pass and bowel surgery will not be done as an outpatient. Also elderly patients or patients who live alone, and patients who have multiple pre existing medical conditions like Diabetes, angina, respiratory and chronic renal failure cannot be done as an outpatient procedure.
