From Will B. in Texas: I just received an email from Trendline Agency Inc. and it had several Words doubled up in the sentences and several misspellings also. It did not look like something I would want to pursue for part time employment. I would say in my opinion that they are not legitimate. Here is what Stephanie posted on another website when I goggled the company: I was hired by Trendline Marketing about a month ago to work a Bank of America program, basically opening checking accounts for them. I had to do an online 4 hour (it took way longer than that) training and also go to an in person training on August 14 that was about 6 hours. I did not ever get scheduled to work and didn't even have any contact until a week and a half ago when I got an email out of nowhere Sunday night saying I was scheduled for two shifts that week -- Tuesday and Wednesday. I emailed back saying I couldn't work since I hadn't heard a thing in 3 weeks (aside from when the manager accidentally emailed me someone else's schedule) and was forced to find other work. I inquired about pay for training (from the market manager that emailed me saying I was scheduled) and have received no response. I also emailed the two contacts from the marketing agency 4 days ago and have still heard nothing. I googled the company and the toll-free number on their website doesn't work and the local number goes to some woman's voicemail (I left a message anyway). I sent an email to the President of the company (I had to GUESS his email based on what the other employee's were -- first letter of first name and all of last name) about 15 minutes ago, so we'll see if that gets a response, but I doubt it.
In addition to this, the reason that I was "scheduled" at all last week was because the market manager's friends all got fired because they were stealing people's bank information. YEAH, YOU READ THAT RIGHT!!! STEALING PEOPLE'S INFORMATION!! And apparently the agency had known it was going on for a while and didn't do anything about it because they didn't have "solid proof" and let them keep working! This is the second program those people had worked on and been stealing information from (they also did credit cards!). I'm completely dumbfounded. I can't believe that an agency like this is allowed to exist still. Believe me when I say that I will not rest until I get paid for my time spent training. Granted it's only $150, but it's the principal and I will not let a scum agency like this be in business with no problem. I will also be reporting them to every company (like BBB) that I can find!
Please, do yourself a favor and stay far far away from this company!
