Wildeabeast life cycle

The life cycle of a wildebeest, or gnu, begins with gestation lasting about 7-8 months, after which a single calf is born, usually in a herd for protection. Calves are able to stand and run shortly after birth, which is crucial for avoiding predators. Wildebeests reach sexual maturity at around 2-3 years of age and typically live for 15-20 years in the wild. They are known for their annual migration, where they travel in search of food and water, which is vital for their survival.
