How do you unlock mr sparkle in fruit ninja?

You need to get a score of 42 (Classic). Once you get 42, don't slice any more fruit and just lose because then your score will stay as 42 and when it shows the fruit fact etc, a tab will come up at the top saying 'Unlocked new blade!'.
