Does a car stall if the fuel pump is going bad?

Yes it can, manual or mechanical both. Electrical can be working intemitent as it heats up shuts down. Bad news if you have electrical pupmp and let the tank go dry, the fuel pump needs the fuel to cool pump. Wife let Van tank go dry then put 35 gallons in it, then it kept stalling....fuel pump changed ops check good
