Preparation - before the interview- Learn all about the prospective employer: Research in Local Papers, look at the company website and other official publications
- Take up opportunities for informal contact.
- Request information on interview format
- Draft likely questions and consider responses
- Check your route to the interview
- Practice your interview skills
On the Day- Dress to Impress - Remember the interviewer(s) will remember you if you look and act the part
- Read through your application and take it with you
- Make a list of questions for you to ask about the position /organisation
- Allow plenty of time for travel
At the Interview- Be confident
- Be honest
- Ask for clarification when a question has been asked that you don't understand
