Historically it was rumored the famous artist Rosa Bonheur was lesbian. (Mlle Bonheur, which means Good time or Happy Hour!)- died in l899 thus did not see the twentieth century. She lived with another woman in a nice spot in Paris suburbs, near horse stables- as she was an animal painter, this was up her alley. There have been rumors about Lesbianism and possibly even Hermaphroditism in a number of twentieth-century personalities. a film is coming up about one of them in October- have your batteries charged properly- as we are talking of the Electra project. For some odd reason she suddenly divorced at the height of her career- around l935 and no reason was given. possibly the film will explore this angle of attack.
