How do you draw the metric staircase?

The top stair starts at the far left and is Kilo (Kiloliter, Kilometer, Kilogram)

next step down is Hecto, next step is Deka, then Base (meter, liter, gram)

Next is deci, centi, and then milli.

Each time you move down a step you will move the decimal point forward

one place. Each time you climb up a step you move the decimal point

backwards one step each time. This is how you would draw it.
