What is a soap magnate?

A magnate is a rich and influential person. They may have become rich as a result of successful trading. e.g. Bill Gates, the founder of Microsoft, is a software magnate.

Viscount Leverhulme was a soap magnate, being the founder of a huge soap company that became known as Lever Brothers. Sunlight Soap and Lux were brand names of his soaps.
