Do beavers affect humans

It is extremely rare for a beaver to attack a human. They are very gentle animals but like all animals they will defend themselves if cornered.

Most beaver attacks occur when the animal is rabid. For example, in 2005, near Bel Air, Maryland, a rabid beaver bit three people playing in the water at a state park.
