How many states don't have a Wayne county?

As of my last knowledge update in October 2023, there are 27 states in the United States that do not have a Wayne County. Wayne County is most commonly associated with Michigan, where it is located, but several other states have counties with the same name. However, many states do not have any county named Wayne at all.
