What is the difference between stomach stapling and the weight loss band?

In a stomach stapling procedure the stomach is reduced in size by using surgical staples. The band is placed around the upper part of the stomach to make a small pouch and generally can be adjusted after the surgery. Some of the weight loss bands do not even require any kind of surgical cutting and the recovery time is much less.
