Pterodactylus lived between 150.8 and 148.5 million years ago. Thus, the entire existence of Pterodactylus fell in the Tithonian stage of the Jurassic period. If you are referring to pterosaurs in general, or all flying reptiles, they existed between 210 and 65.5 million years ago, during the Triassic, Jurassic, and Cretaceous periods of the Mesozoic era.
