A non-credible website uses opinion only, often without any proof; it may also use generality, bias, stereotype, and even insult. If it is a political site, it tends to be partisan, making claims that one side is always doing things right and the other side is always doing things wrong. Websites that are not credible, whether about politics or other subjects, will make unfair or slanted assertions about certain groups or individuals the writers personally dislike, and the articles will offer no evidence to support any of the claims the site makes. Neo-Nazi websites, racist websites, websites that feature conspiracy theories, and websites run by extremists (whether political or religious) will tend to be non credible.

But it should be noted that not all opinion sites are lacking in validity, and many are not extreme in any way. There are many sites that specialize in opinion (whether about politics or sports or whatever) and they never claim to be objective. A good example would be a site for your local Baseball or football team, or a celebrity gossip website. These sites are perfectly legitimate to read and enjoy, since they never claim to be fact-based like a news-magazine. (Many people really do like to read articles from people they agree with.)

However, you should try to avoid using partisan or biased websites when writing a term paper or in any other academic writing that requires objective research. You can certainly use a few quotes from opinion websites, but only if you can substantiate the claims these sites make. As for credible sites, there are a number of newspapers, magazines, and journals that are online and have a reputation for accuracy. The problem is there are also some scandal-sheets that exaggerate or don't tell an accurate story. If you are able to differentiate between sites that are based on documented fact and sites that make wild, unproven claims, you will be able to find credible information.
