What is the difference between a dynasty and a monarchy?

An Empire is a group of states or territories or ethnic groups under a single ruling power.

Eg;Roman Empire,Mauryan empire,Persian empire.

A Dynasty means a succession or series of rulers of the same family,where the power and title is passed from generation to generation.

Eg:Mughal dynasty.
