First CMSGT of the Air force?

The first Chief Master Sergeant of the Air Force was Paul W. Airey. He served the U.S. Air Force from 1942 to 1970. He became the first CMSgtAF on 3 April 1967 until 31 July 1969. He retired on 1 August 1970.
