Located on the passenger side midway on the doors. The system is pressurized and gravity is not in your favor. So I like a clod engine to do this and almost empty gas tank. Then the night before I break the seal on the pressure regulator in the engine compartment. This allows the system to settle overnight and empty the line. A small amount of gas leaks on the engine but will be dried by morning. Just don't do it in a closed garage! None of it. Then get under the car and brake the joints on the old filter just slightly. Then remove the filter from its mount. Disconnect the lines quickly and have the other filter ready. Put it back in quickly and snug up connections. Reinstall filter and final tighten fittings. Hint. Have a wooden dowel or something the size of the hose ready. Once you take off the hose or connector you can stuff something in it to prevent gas from leaking out. Again I rarely have much since gravity worked alright for me. But there is still some in the lines and the filter. Don't get right under it either. A gas shower is no fun. Wear safety glasses in any case. Remove connections easily and see where the gas is going. Then put a container under it until it stops leaking. If you don't do the bleeding the night before then just watch the pressure as you brake the seal on the connections. I brake the seal and then step away and let it drain for a bit. Then open a bit more and let it drain.
