Who gave Pinestar his nine lives?

I don't think anybody knows EXACTLY who gave him his nine lives except the Erins.

Obviously, it was from StarClan.

A few good guesses would be Nightstar, the last realleader of ShadowClan, and any other good cats who died in battle or otherwise.

But unless the Erins write about it, it's never really mentioned in any of the regular books :P
