Where should I rent a car in Miami?

If you plan to stay primarily in south beach, then you don't need a car (in fact parking is expensive). If you plan to stay anywhere else then a car is necessary. You also need a car if you plan to travel out of town a bit, such as the Everglades, or the Keys. If you stay in south beach you can do it both ways, i.e. rent a car only for the day(s) you have to drive out of town.
