What animals help disabled people other than dogs?

It depends on what you mean by help. If you mean like a blind seeing eye dog then Falabella horses are also used. Falabella horses are very small (Their shoulder if 36 inches high or less) more intelligent than dogs and live a lot longer.

Now if your talking emotionally then any animal at all can help someone who is disabled. Personally I went through a time (and am still working on the issues) when emotionally I was very unstable and could have been considered disabled. I had this bird that I used to take out of her cage and she would sit with me and play with me and that helped a lot. The bird has since passed. But for some people sitting in from of an aquarium and watching the fish swimming around is helpful.
