It is possible to overdose on mescaline, although dying from doing so (unless taking high doses of the compound) isn't likely. Symptoms would likely include anxiety and panic, overwhelming changes in perception, racing and incoherent thoughts, nausea and vomiting, sweating, and rapid heartbeat. Mescaline is comparatively more dangerous in overdose than LSD or psilocybin, although it is still considerably safer than heroin or methamphetamine.
