How do you know if someone ignored you in facebook?

Some people add Facebook pages and then never, ever check them. Some people are computer illiterate and can't figure out how to accept a friend on Facebook. If the person you friended on Facebook is active on the site and they haven't accepted your friend request, then they are probably ignoring it.
