What helps dogs shed less?

Breeds that shed are like humans that shed their hair every single day. A good brushing every single day will help to curb some of the shedding. Also use Oatmeal based dog shampoos (easy on their skin and leave a good shine to their coats) and only use a medium to low heat if you are blow drying your dog. If your home is warm enough towel dry your dog and let the air dry their skin and give it a rest from any blow drying. If this doesn't do the trick then please see your vet as your pet's diet may have to be changed. Dachshunds are known to get Allergies and are very sensitive to certain brands of dog food.
