Where is the stator located on a 1983 suzuki gs1100?

The stator is located on the left side of the bike behind the chrome cover. There is 7 or 8 bolts surrounding it. One thing that you need to do is drain the oil first or have something under it to catch all of the oil. Once the cover is off you will see the 3 screws that hold the stator on. The wires run back next to the starter.
