Many different animals are used to make fur coats: the most common are rabbit, chinchilla, raccoon, mink, and coyote. However fur coats are also made from skunks, squirrels, weasels, guinea pigs, cuylos, cats, dogs, bears... the list goes on and on. Basically if it has fur, someone has made a coat out of it.

The topic of fur coats is very controversial in a matter of fashion vs. animal rights. If you are interested in learning more, websites like peta or idausa.org have a lot of information. But be warned, they are extremely graphic.
