A lot of people do not realize how important it is to maintain their hardwood floors. Even worse, they don't know that hardwood floors need to be handled in a different manner than tile, or any other surface. The key is to use the least amount of moisture as possible. As well, products that won't scratch or wear away at the wood are a must. Try using a lightly dampened cloth and cleaning in the direction of the wood grain. In cases in which you simply wish to remove dirt, a vacuum with hardwood setting would be best.
