Where is the oil filter and reservoir located on a 2001 BMW 740il?

If the 2001 7series BMW's are similar to the 1998 7series, it's located between the driver side headlamp and the Power Steering reservoir in the engine compartment. Of course it's cylinder shaped and you can't miss it.
